About the Role
Salesforce Commerce Cloud Senior Developers oversee the development, design, user interface, technology integration, and site architecture management on a variety of projects. As a Senior Dev, you will be responsible to provide technical solutions for complex business requirements. You will work with brands and internal stakeholders to understand requirements to deliver the desired ecommerce UX/UI experience and gather specifications for new enhancements and features. You will contribute directly by writing robust, well-organized code with performance,
maintainability, and portability in mind. You will lead, mentor and train junior development resources by providing them technical guidance and establishing coding & deployment best practices across all projects.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Ensures functional requirements and high-level solution designs are understood and are translated into detailed technical design.
- Analyze brand business needs and recommend innovative solutions that leverage technology to provide market differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences.
- Responsible for code maintainability. Implement coding best practices and align development team to follow the same. Responsible for code review, merges and deployments to various staging and production environments.
- Guides the performance tuning and scalability of the ecommerce solution.
- Contribute to a highly automated CI/CD pipeline and take over the ownership in a reliable deployment process.
- Uses SFCC Script and other related development technologies, performs various tasks, such as design, development and testing of SFCC REST APIs, DW Pipelet, 3rd Party integrations and other back-end services.
- Integrates with Front end web technologies like HTML, CSS, Java Script and associated frameworks.
- Performs all administrative options/tasks/interfaces available in Business Manager for multilingual stores.
- Works with stakeholders to set up feeds and processes for price and inventory on projects.
- Expertly performs design and development of third party (backend) integrations like Address/Shipping/Tax validation, Payment authorization, CRM, OMS.
- Understands the deployment considerations specific to SaaS based cloud server.
- Supports the maintenance and technical configuration of the eCommerce environment.
- Partners with the brands and other IT team members for troubleshooting and performing enhancements/upgrades.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related functional business area or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with SFCC, ideally holding a leadership role on at least 2 full scale projects.
- Certified SFCC Developer (DiD/CIP) or Architect.
- Experience in implementing core SFCC programming concepts (OOP), cartridges, pipelines, pipelets, SFCC Script (DS), Forms Framework, ISML, custom objects, data integration, UX Studio, SFRA, Business Manager, Business configuration flows (Campaigns, Promotions, Catalogs, Inventory, Pricebooks, Content management), Social Integrations.
- Experience working with JavaScript technologies such as jQuery, Angular, Node.js / npm.
- Strong Experience using CSS2 and CSS3 – SaSS, JavaScript, jQuery and HTML 5.
- Experience working on GRUNT, GULP.
- Demonstrated effective leadership and technical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead techno-functional work teams toward task completion.
- Experience with Atlassian’s JIRA, Confluence as well as strong experience using Git source code management tools.
