POSITION SUMMARY

  • Provide daily cashiering tasks like accepting cash and other forms of payment, records purchased items, give change and produce receipts
  • To create and maintain a positive relationship with the customers in order to achieve sales goals
  • Provide high service standards as directed in other areas such as store cleanliness and security within the Cashier counter
  • Foster a positive, engaging and ethical working environment

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the Sales

  • Assist the Store PIC in the areas of cashiering and customer service to achieve the sales goals and other KPIs of the Store
  • Execute sales strategies and action plans implemented by the Managers
  • Maintain a tight control on discounting and giveaways/ discontinued products
  • Ensure all monies and sales transactions are accordance to the operation procedures

Daily Cashiers Duties

  • Establish or identify prices of goods and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical price scanners and process the sales quickly and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit cards, cheques, voucher or automatic debit transactions and issuance of receipts, refunds credits or change to customers and ensuring all credit card process payments are adhered to with proper authorization
  • Safeguard the Point of Sales and at the end of the shift, to balance the amount of money taken in with the total sales recorded
  • Responsible for cashiers documentation and proper cash record and filing
  • Identifies and surface price discrepancies and system malfunctions and contacts superior
  • Manages incoming phone calls with appropriate phone etiquette and greetings

Achieve High Service Standards

  • Keep abreast of sales & customer service whilst providing excellent WOW service experience to customers
  • Maintain and uphold the company’s image as a prestigious and luxurious brand at all times
  • Be responsible to collect Customer Registration Card as per store target
  • Work with the Manager to best handle customer complaints

Inventory Integrity

  • Work together with Managers and floor to manage inventory and minimize stock losses
  • Qualitative security measures to prevent theft and pilferage

Maintains Best Retail Standards

  • Maintain orderly appearance of the register area
  • Ensure general POS counter housekeeping and maintenance is at acceptable standards
  • Ensure proper care for stocks, fixtures and furniture within the store, and kept neatly and tidy at all times
  • Comply with company SOPs and the Code of Business Conduct

Personal Development

  • Have and maintain at all times integrity and accuracy in the handling of money and company assets
  • Have and maintain at all times competent knowledge of POS system
  • Complete E-Learning Modules on timely manner
