Role Overview:

Valiram is Southeast Asia’s leading luxury goods and 360-degree retail specialist. With a presence in 9 Countries, the Group operates over 400 stores in domestic, travel retail, and online channels. The Group represents more than 200 brands across various categories from fashion, sports performance, accessories, personal care, timepieces and jewelry, perfume, and cosmetics to confectionary and dining concepts.

The Group is increasing, both organically and through new business expansion. We are looking for a passionate and well demonstrated Retail Sales & Operations Manager who will drive world-class Brand leadership and Retail execution in one or more assigned areas and brands.

Reporting to the Country General Manager, the successful applicant will have full P&L responsibility and accountability for the Business performance in the assigned areas of responsibility. He/She will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders. The position will require significant stakeholder management and strong collaboration skills.

 The incumbent must be able to thrive in a fast-paced business, possess good business acumen, be quick in well-reasoned decisions, and bring inspiring leadership through directing all facets of retail operations for the allocated area(s) and/or brand(s).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 8-10 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in leadership/managerial capacity.
  • Strong, independent leadership skills to manage and drive solutions.
  • Good team building, interpersonal skills, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively with people and teams at all levels.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Good business acumen; able to identify business trends and react quickly to the needs of the business.
  • Skilled in high-level presentations, influencing, and commercial negotiations.
  • Willing to travel both locally and overseas.
  • Fluent in English in written and spoken. The ability to converse in other languages is an added advantage.
